CHRIS STEFANO

Chris has a PhD in igneous petrology from the University of Michigan, and worked as a Postdoc there helping them inventory and appraise their mineral collection, a summary of which was published in the July/August 2013 issue of Rocks and Minerals magazine. More recently, he was the curator of the mineral collection at the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum in Houghton, Michigan.
Chris’s interests are broad and range from mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry. In recent years, he has also become interested in the history of these fields as well. Along with being an avid mineral collector in his days he is also an undergrad at Kent State University. He became a mineral dealer during graduate school to help fund my collection, and kept the business up until I joined the staff at the A. E. Seaman Museum.
